I have outlined areas of policy I will fight for, as well as areas I will fight against as your Township Clerk:

• I will fight to get our fair share of economic development opportunities and help create new jobs in our area
• As a candidate for Township Clerk I believe that the top 3 concerns for Kinross are jobs, jobs, and jobs. As a small business owner and experienced public servant, I understand that government does not create jobs: businesses create jobs. However, I believe it is the responsibility of our Township Board to create a favorable business environment by limiting government and lowering taxes, and that businesses, with the appropriate cooperation and promotion by the Township, will come here to thrive and grow.
• A favorable business environment in Kinross would encourage and permit existing businesses to expand and attract new businesses. With lower taxes, new business ventures would have a greater chance of creating jobs and prospering.
• I will fight to cut costs and create a more efficient government.

Elected officials must be mindful of the responsibility they have with regards to public tax payer monies. Whether it is at the Township level, County level, State level or Federal level, elected officials must be kept in check on their spending. Unauthorized expenditures and budget busting irresponsible fiscal policy must be addressed through the election process.

• I will go the extra mile to promote Snowmobiling tourism and safety

• I believe in a transparent Township Board. As your Clerk, you will never have to wonder where I stand. I will stand with you. My door will always be open to every resident of our Township and I will be present in our community for regular meetings and other events. I pledge to always be responsive to your needs and respectful of your ideas.
  • I will request an immediate improvement of Township internet (website / information) services allowing citizens increased timely access to county information. What scares me the most is what we do not know about the Township Board.
  • I will hold regular office hours at my own expense to serve residents
• I will work with both Republicans and Democrats in Chippewa County to address funding and service issues.
• I will work to raise revenue, without raising taxes!
